there i was, trying to catch a few rays, yet for some reason, duff found it to be hysterically funny and insisted i allow her to capture this image for posterity.
by the way, this was taken over a month ago- on july 23rd, 2005.)
here are some other photos from my trip (you can find even more here.)
first, a couple from south of the border:
and a few photos of d.c.:
across the reflecting pool
hello? mister lincoln? anyone home?
other photos from the drive north:
the border between dc and maryland
bikers in philly- too bad i missed the guy dressed up like santa claus.
after a long wait, i finally made it to new york. i'm so glad i'm not driving.
my favorite state- because it's small, like me.
clouds over providence, rhode island
excuse me- which way to the little gnomes room? i had one too many frosty beverages.
the next day (july 25th), we headed over to the land of maple syrup, maple ice cream, maple fudge, maple leaves, and maple candies- vermont. since the only way to get to vermont from maine is to drive through new hampshire, we tried to pick the most scenic route possible, which took us through both the white mountains and jefferson, nh- home of santa's village.
the farmer's daughter, in st. johnsbury, vermont
f-stop at the saint gaudens national historic site.
(more pictures coming as soon as blogger allows me to upload them)
